Peach Blossom White Darjeeling: Glenburn

A unique, white first flush.
Limited Edition Collection - once it's gone, it's gone

A rare white tea from an experimental first flush batch, grown on the Glenburn Estate in Darjeeling. Always striving to explore new techniques, the tea makers lightly roll the freshly picked leaves, releasing their soft, floral aroma. The finished tea liquor carries fragrant notes of pineapple and honey, which are balanced with a crisp, first flush astringency. Though closest to a white tea, the Peach Blossom also shares similarities with a lightly oxidised oolong, making it a standout tea like no other.

It was so important to us to include a tea from the Glenburn Estate in our limited edition collection for 2017- It’s always exciting to see what new and ‘experimental’ batches they will send us each year.” –Alice, Head of Tea

another favourite tea!

/ 5

I bought this on the strength of an interesting article on the Canton Tea blog...and I'm very glad that I did. It has a hint of both darjeeling and white tea but has a favour all of its own. Quite a clean taste but not on the green tea scale. Very slightly floral and unlike other darjeelings it can handle a second brew. Hope I can buy this again before it sells out!

The Glenburn Estate has been making speciality Darjeeling teas for the past seven years. Initially, it was daunting to experiment with new processing techniques on such valuable leaves, but after the success of their Autumn Oolong (a tea based on the principles of the Taiwanese Oriental Beauty), the estate’s owners never looked back, and have been pushing the boundaries of traditional Darjeeling teas ever since.
