Canton Raw Mini Tuo Cha

Our specially commissioned raw tuo cha perfect for single servings.
Our own brand mini tuo cha (nests) are made from authentic chopped puerh leaves from Yunnan, not from the fannings or tea dust as most tuo cha are. We tasted many types of maocha (unprocessed leaf) and settled on our favourite, a De Hong leaf from 2012 with a classic raw puerh bright taste. Brew quickly with hot water in a small pot for up to eight infusions.

Pressed specially for Canton in Yunnan from our chosen maocha (raw leaf).

Packed full of flavour

This is the first raw puerh I have ever tried, and I was extremely impressed. The fist two infusions were sweet and smooth, and the colour of the liquor was quite light. With infusions three through six, the colour of the liquor became much darker and the flavour of the tea resembled that of a green gunpowder (almost smoky, but without the astringency). Green tea drinkers would love this. It is also a great value, considering how many infusions you get per nest.

Quick Brewing Instructions Use the gongfu style. A small teapot (or small amount of water) with 3-4 g of tea and hot water: 95°C (203°F) infused for just 20 secs. Reinfuse at least 6 times.
