Introduction
This soft Red Tea is made from only tender buds of the big White Tea varietal (which is mostly used to make Yin Zheng White Tea). The leaves are shaped into tight, elegant curls. The leaves have fine orange-yellow hairs – indicating the use of buds in its manufacture.

Processing
Bai Lin Gong Fu has been in production since about 1850. Commercial grades are made using tea from various provinces in China but higher grades (Gong Fu – ‘great skill’) are made only in the Tai Mu mountain region of Fuding, Fujian Province..
This tea can also be served in the Western way, brewed in a big teapot with milk and sugar or lemon.
Tasting notes
Bai Lin Gong Fu is fresh and sweet with a hint of cream caramel and the liquor is golden red with a smooth texture and a long, soft, mellow aftertaste.
Health Benefits
While lower in antioxidant polyphenols than Green, White and Oolong Teas, Black Teas have higher concentrations of theaflavins and thearubigens which may have beneficial effects in combating heart disease and strokes.
