Keeps your whole leaves out of the tea liquor and ready to reinfuse. The medium Piao i tea infuser is a good size for one person who drinks tea by the English mug. The glass jug has a 500ml capacity and the upper infusing chamber has a 200ml capacity.

Here’s how:
- Place the whole leaves in the top chamber and pour on water.
- Once infused, push the button to drain the liquor off into the glass jug below.
- The leaves can be reinfused many times because they do not oversteep.
This is the difference:
- The top chamber allows the whole tea leaves to unfurl freely in the water - unlike other infusers that may trap the leaves in a small chamber.
- The leaves don’t oversteep because of the unique push-button draining system – unlike other infusers where you have to remove the leaves or pour off all the tea.
The Piao i tea infuser has a glass serving jug and a food-grade polycarbonate infusing chamber. The button raises a stainless steel ball allowing the infused tea to flow down through the mesh into the serving jug below.

I use mine for 2 years being fully satisfied.
Until the infuser started leaking.
(Some one thought it should have a proper cleaning in the dishwasher. That it couldn't handle)
After long searching on the Internet found this site to buy a new one.

I was looking at buying the Piao I for a while before I took the plunge and decided to get it, and it has well exceeded my expectations. I've read other reviews that say how good it is, but I remained a little skeptical. However, after ordering one and trying it out, I have to say I am extremely impressed. I've tried making loose leaf tea with infusers and always found that tiny bits managed to escape into the water, but with the Piao I there was no such problem. I could drink the whole cup without having to leave some tea at the bottom that contained all the bits, because there were no bits at all! It's extremely easy to use and more compact than I imagined, so it doesn't take up much space. The only thing I would say is that the 200ml inner chamber is slightly too small for me - filling it to the brim gives about 3/4 of my usual cup of tea, so it may benefit some people to go for the larger Piao I with the 350ml inner chamber. Overall though, I can't stress enough how impressed I am. (Posted on 12/31/10)
