Lemongrass is a native grass of Southeast Asia and is used extensively in Asian cooking, as a tisane in many African and Latin American countries - and is a key ingredient of herbal medicine in Southeast Asia and the Caribbean.

It is a tall, lemon-scented perennial, tropical plant which makes a deliciously refreshing, slightly ginger-spiced and heady citrus infusion.The fragrant leaves are chopped to yield the most flavour when steeped in hot water.
