Arya Ruby Second Flush Darjeeling
Arya Ruby Second Flush Darjeeling
The Arya estate in Darjeeling produces some wonderful teas and this is an example of a true classic. Only tender, high quality leaves and buds are hand-picked on a bright, clear morning (it cannot be raining) and then they are skillfully hand- rolled.
The beautiful, dry leaves are a colourful mix: rolled dark chocolate-coloured leaves with a deep red ruby hue, as well as smaller olive tinted leaves and young, soft furry silver tips. Once infused, the amber liquor smells warm and floral.
The taste is light and delicate on the palate, displaying the rose and muscatel flavours that are characteristic of Arya estate Darjeelings. A sweet caramel aftertaste lingers long on the tongue with each sip of this delicious tea.

Superb Tea Review by David B

Just like it promised; rose, caramel and dried fruits. The best darjeeling I've tried so far. Light and delicate, yet pronounced, tasty and provocative I found the 2nd flush Margaret's Hope Silver Moon a dud (no stars) but this one is something else altogether (Posted on 4/24/12)

This tea is as impressive and tasty as the Margarets Hope Silver Moon was unimpressive and poor Review by David B.

Whilst I wouldn't drink this tea for breakfast, I agree with Max. This is an astonishing tea and I've not, previously had a Darjeeling, including those bought in Calcutta,,anywhere near as wonderful as this. It is very delicate, yet both aroma and flavour are there, upfront. Rose, caramel, with a hint of dried fruit. The Canton Margarets Hope Silver Moon was a dud (one or no stars) and so I held my breath on this one, but I can now forgive them for my earlier disappoinment!
I am now sorely tempted by the Arya Ruby Organic first flush.. (Posted on 4/24/12)

Very flavoursome Darjeeling Review by Max

This morning I've got a sample of this delicious Darjeeling. Brewed for 2 mins tastes of caramel and soft muscatel.
One of the best Darjeeling I've tried in a long time. It really makes a lovely morning cup of tea. I've tried some of the others from other online stores but nothing comes close to this lovely tea.
Thanks
