Anxi Rou Gui is a lightly baked tea at the green end of the oolong spectrum, all neatly rolled into little balls and smelling with newly-cut hay fragrance. There is a sharp Grannie Smith apple taste, with lime-tree honey and cinnamom, all on a bed of creamy butter. A tea for Winnie the Pooh, when it's time for a little something! At elevenses or afternoon tea,with Dundee shortcake and lemon-curd tart. (Posted on 1/13/12)

This is one of my favourite teas from CantonTeas. I'm new to fine china teas but this is truly lovely. It's smooth and velvety with light fragrance and has a lovely round flavour. Each steep releases different levels of flavour. My favourite tea when I need cheering up! (Posted on 10/9/11)

"The bright yellow liquor has a scent that's fantastic, milky and sweet. It is buttery and smooth. It coats the mouth and leaves behind a pleasant creaminess. There is a hint of cinnamon and a slight lingering lemony citrus that's emphasized as the cup cools

Another indication of Canton Tea Co's passion for tea is that they apparently buy this unbaked then medium bake it themselves to ensure it's perfectly done"

"This is an oolong that I would love to keep in stock. It's easy drinking and pretty reasonably priced especially as I am able to get four teapots out of one rounded tablespoon."

"I have been able to get up to four enjoyable steeps out of this tea brewing it Western style. Each subsequent steep is creamier with the third time around being the best in my opinion. Lovely tea all the way around. I can easily see why it took a gold medal in ’09."
