- Great everyday tea, especially in summer Review by Serena

I really like this tea for its gentle and clean flavour that remind me tender young grass. Once infused I found clear vegetal notes and a lemony freshness in it, together with a lively aftertaste of fresh walnut (even the dry leaves have some kind of a delicate nutty aroma) and a subtle hint of "sea air" that seems to remain in the empty cup. A pleasant tea, definitely. (Posted on 6/25/11)Rating - Could you find a prettier tea? Review by Karen Ryan at All About the Leaf

"This tea is so pleasing to the eye and so celestial looking. If you have guests, put this tea out for a visual inspection, to smell and for admiration. The scent of the dry leaf is heavenly – sweet with grassy freshness."Rating

"What I really like about this tea is its staying power. I don’t normally get a lot of good steeps from green teas, but this one is good for about four. As the steeps progress, the sweet nuttiness dissipates while an interesting minerality appears. Quite refreshing on a hot day. Recommended."Rating

"This tea is soft, mild-mannered and uncomplicated. It might be just the thing to drink absentmindedly after a long day since it doesn’t present much of a challenge taste-wise. I would recommend it as a good quality, mellow green for everyday drinking."Rating

I can't knock this tea in all reality because frankly it is very modestly priced, for that modest price it really is a very splendid leaf.Rating
The only thing i am not keen on is the level of oxidization, in many ways this reminds of pouchong which i am not fond of at all.
That being said it is still on the green side of the fence, it just happens to have a great panoramic view of Oolong Village, it does still have a slight buttery twang you would expect from say a 20% oxidised oolong.
As i said in the start, for the money this is an excellent everyday tea, well worth trying if you are put off by the strong vegetal notes of say a longjing. (Posted on 8/20/10) - Excellent value and no compromise on taste. Review by Paul

This is a superb everyday green tea, a great price and still miles better than the bitter green teas available in supermarkets. The flavour is fresh, grassy and slightly tart. Second and third infusions take on a woody more rounded flavour. When brewing the tea in a glass jug the colour does indeed have a slightly opaque / jade look to it. I just introduced my friend to the wonders of Canton Tea and the first brew happened to be Jade Sword – he was slightly reluctant after trying ‘shop bought’ green tea but after the first sip he exclaimed ‘Oh my Goodness, that is amazing, what a fantastic flavour!’.Rating
