The Fu Hai tea factory was created by people who used to work for the Meng Hai tea factory, and they built their new enterprise right next door to the original Meng Hai tea factory. Unsurprisingly many of their puerh teas share similar characteristics to their rival sister factory. But although it started well and was generally considered one of the best players from the 'nouvelle vague" of puerh makers, more recent production has been less consistent, making these earlier bricks from 2000 something of a treasure.This brick is ready to drink now but ideally it should be laid down for several more years for the flavour to improve even further.
