Puerh Tea Taster Pack
Puerh Tea Taster Pack
Four different 10g tasters provide the perfect opportunity to access the lesser known, but highly sought after genre of authentic puerh tea. In China aged, compressed, raw puerh is very popular and if it is authentic, can be very expensive (aged compressed puerh is acquired by collectors and like fine wine is stored for many years to add value.) It is also believed to have remarkable medicinal properties - from staving off disease, to assisting in weight loss, lowering cholesterol and curing a hangover. These four different tasters comprise one loose leaf cooked puerh and three compressed puerh (two raw and one cooked). This allows you to sample the differences in aroma, colour and flavour.
How to brew puerh
The traditional way to brew puerh is gong fu style in a small Yixing clay teapot. Plenty of tea and reinfuse the leaves at least 10 times. For prescriptive brewing instructions please see our article in Canton Tea School.
If you want to read more about puerh, take a look at our piece in Canton Tea School. This will give you an insight into every aspect of this fascinating tea, from its history to how it is handmade and the difference between raw and cooked.
The taster pack contains10g of each of the following teas:
2007 Lincang Cooked Loose
2011 Canton Tea Co Special Raw Puerh
2010 Mengku Zheng Raw Beeng Cha
