8/10 In addition to the prominent flowery flavor, there was also an unexpected creaminess present. It is not that the tea's texture was creamy but rather that there was this buttery-like flavor that gave the impression of a creamy tea.

This tea has a fabulous aroma and an even better taste, light, grounding and smooth with a light floral aftertaste. The colour of the liqour is a green tint of amber gold. First impressions on this tea was very good, when I opened the 10g packet, the leaves were even in size and nicely rounded, the spent leaves were great aswell, un-broken, around 3-4 cm in size and without twigs at all!
But when you take time to explore and try to put a finger on the taste, you find there is another side to this tea, a very deep, smokey and almost earthy taste. Once you have found these mysterious tastes in this tea and other teas, you taste it every time and the tea becomes all the more pleasurable .
Overall, after tasting nearly all the Oolongs on canton tea's website, Tie guan yin is definatly my favorite. (Posted on 11/15/11)

I bought a 10gr sample of the before committing to a larger bag and was not disappointed. My only comment is that it doesn't require a long steep, 1.5 mins max. It was good for 3 brews and produced a very rounded pale green liquor which was light in taste and fairly refreshing. The taste doesn't linger but is enjoyable never the less. There are better examples, but for a well priced 'every day brew' you cant go wrong wit this one. As ever excellent service from Canton Tea Co. (Posted on 8/7/11)

Yeah man I been drinking this like a week or something now along with some pu-erh and also some green tea and jasmine tea and also some more green tea and some white tea, it is all pretty great. I dropped coffee like two weeks ago or something and since have been way more chill etc. so I don't know if it is because I don't drink coffee anymore or because of the tea making me more chill but either way it is pretty great. This oolong is basically pretty great, I have been drinking a lot of it in my little tea infuser and even though everybody at work thinks I am a little strange because I got this weird little teapot with a thing in it that has a button on it, it is not so bad because I get to drink really nice tea. I also got some of those little cups without handles that look like little bowls so I can have little cups of tea and feel very traditional which is also pretty great. I only put a little bit of tea in and it puffs up as it soaks up the water and you get lots of nice delicate flavours out of it each time you brew it, I think it is basically a pretty great tea. I brew it for like 2 minutes at like 80 degrees or something and then pour it into my little cups and sip it several times each day, I am very happy with it. (Posted on 8/11/10)

I tried the Iron Goddess a week ago, and it was lovely; light and creamy. The second brew was richer in flavour but equally creamy and not at all bitterand I find that I am enjoying each subsequent cup more and more. In fact my obligatory morning coffee has all but been replaced by this lovely tea and I also like to drink it before I go to bed. I am looking forward to trying the tasters. (Posted on 8/11/10)
