Mini Puerh Tuo Cha
Mini Puerh Tuo Cha
Enjoy the complex flavours of puerh in an easy single serving. Unlike most small tuo cha, which are made from fannings or tea dust, this is made from quality chopped puerh leaves from the original source of Puerh in Yunnan province. Brewed quickly with hot water in a small pot it will yield six to eight infusions. Rich with classic puerh notes of autumn woodland, moss and wet leaves, these tuocha are drinking well now but will keep for another 3 years, and the liquor will become smoother.

Best Mini Tuo Cha

Best Mini Tuo Cha I've tried. Taste is rich and well balanced, from my experience you can steep one for about 7-8 times before its starting to loose its intensity. Better than expected. (Posted on 4/2/13)

Gorgeously earthy

This was my introduction to cooked puerh and it was quite a revelation. I let a friend sniff the pot where the tou cha were stored and they exclaimed 'Gosh - that's gorgeously earthy' at the fragrance before we had even had a chance to make a drink. Having made this tea at 95 C, steeped for 30 seconds and poured it out, my advice is to let it cool down a bit. Your mouth will gain a better grasp of it subtlety when there is no risk of scalding yourself. Delicious. I then re-infused mine and, if you're careful, you can get 8-9 more cups out of one of these little taste bombs. (Posted on 3/21/13)

Convenient and tasty. Produce a dark rich liquor and taste improves with infusions. One mini tuo can last all day. Excellent (Posted on 2/23/13)

Mini Puerh(a) ha

Bought a load of these for the convienience of being able to just pop one in the clay pot brew and drink. Well impressed with the quality and taste, these little puerh taste bombs brew a perfect cup of tea and continue to give up to about 15 infusions.
They have plenty of mouth feel and give that shot of sweet after taste. As the infusion progress the flavours change and become more subtle with a hint of honey after the swallow.
I also like the fact that they are not made up of powdered leaves and I think this adds to the quality of the taste and how many infusions they will produce.
Yes they may not be in the same realms as an aged full tea cake but they still punch more that their weight in the fact that they produce a nice tea soup and are really handy for making that quick hit brew you sometimes need.
For the price give them a try if you don't like them you can send them on to me!!! (Posted on 2/6/13)

Excellent earthy taste and extremely economical

At first glance, I felt that this was an expensive buy, despite the fact that it ticked all the boxes taste wise. However, I found to my amazement that one little nest of this amazing tea, put into an infuser, made at least 3 pints of tea throughout the day ( approx 5 large mugs) without any diminution in quality. A wonderful earthy taste, I will not go back to my previous puerh tea! (Posted on 12/1/12)

Wow!

A great introduction indeed - I have to say I wasn't quite sure what to do with this when I got it. I tried making it in an infuser but, even pouring the water straight through, the 2nd to the 8th or so were so strong I had to dilute them. However ... what worked brilliantly for me was using a tea sac so that I could dunk my tea in my cup for just as long as I needed, resulting in at least 20 wonderful, rich, earthy infusions that have really given me the taste for trying more puerh. I suspect that many experts will look on this with dismay but it worked for me and has given me days of wonderful tea at my desk with no mess or parafernalia... (Posted on 5/1/12)
