Jasmine Silver Needle (Moli Yin Zhen)
Jasmine Silver Needle White Tea | Moli Yin Zhen
Other names: Jasmine Silver Needle Tea, Silver Tip Tea, White Pekoe, Bai Hao Yin Zhen
2011 Great Taste Award Winner
Jasmine Silver Needle is a soft, lush jasmine tea, made from the young, unopened silvery white tea buds which have been layered with fresh Jasmine blossoms over several nights. The fragrance is absorbed by the buds and gives the tea a pure, sweet, distinctive flavour that is mellowed by the white Silver Needle. This Jasmine tea is a great accompaniment to food and full of beneficial antioxidants.

Canton Tea Co.’s Jasmine Yin Zhen, or Jasmine Silver Needle is HIGHLY aromatic, in a heady yet pleasant way
This tea, in my opinion, is perfectly infused with the jasmine scent/flavor.

A refreshing brew to relax to.

I drink this tea when i'm at home and want to relax. It has a lighter taste than Jasmine Pearls and is a bit more delicate. This tea goes very well with my piao i tea infuser as it captures the tea and the leaves can be used again. Enjoy. (Posted on 1/31/13)

I love this tea, the mellow white mixed with Jasmine. I find it better as it dries and ages. Its refreshing, its soothing and to my mind, far superior to Jasmine Pearls. But of course thats just my opinion. (Posted on 10/8/12)

Sweet Jasmine with the depth of Silver Needle
Review by Hippiepig

First the jasmine hits your nose and, as you sip your tea, you taste an intial hit of jasmine followed by the depth of the silver needle. I am new to drinking of this quality but each time I drink this tea I recongise new notes that delight me. A beautiful education. (Posted on 8/13/12)

Whilst I love my green and oolong teas this is a firm favourite for me. It is an intensely fragrant tea with a soft undertone to it. I very much enjoy it but I have to be in the mood for it. (Posted on 4/26/12)

One of the finest jasmine teas I’ve tasted
Review by Sororitea Sisters
-
"What a beautiful jasmine tea.
The white tea base is a silver needle. The flavor is so soft and has a pleasant sweetness to it. The mouthfeel is soft and supple. There is very little astringency and no bitterness...."

Music in my mouth
Review by Geoff at Teaviews
-
"The butter-nut white tea aspect shined – but didn’t outshine – the jasmine contribution. They sang, they danced, they made music in my mouth. This is a sipping tea with subtleties to be found and appreciated."
