Jasmine Pearls Green Tea | Jasmine Dragon Pearls
Our handmade Jasmine Pearls have an astonishing record having won the top three star gold award in the 2009 Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards and now a brilliant two gold stars in the 2010 Great Taste Awards.
This is one of the few authentic Jasmine teas available in the UK and was made by our own supplier. It was independently blind-tasted and judged to be the better than any other Jasmine Pearls at the Great Taste Awards. The long silvery tea buds are hand-picked from the white tea varietal used for Silver Needle, but the leaves are processed as a green tea. Once picked, the buds are carefully stored for a few weeks until the Jasmine flowers blossom. They are very skilfully hand rolled into perfect spheres and layered over several nights with fresh Jasmine. Just a few pearls yield a highly fragrant liquor, bright with refreshing jasmine and sweet with the soft creamy undertones of the tea buds.
Many so-called Jasmine teas are artificially scented with oils and flavourings etc. Ours are completely natural and capture the delicacy of the Jasmine flower without overwhelming the sweet, creamy softness of the tea.
Great Taste Awards 2009: Three Gold Stars and Great Taste Awards 2010: Two Gold Stars.

I am extremely fond of well-made jasmine tea and I have enjoyed some truly lovely specimens over the past few months. I must say, however, that Canton Tea Co’s Jasmine Pearls is simply the best jasmine tea that I have ever tried
I love everything about this product, from its quality to the packaging and I would highly recommend trying it out.

Delicate and genuine jasmine Review by Jim R

This is truly one of the most delicate and genuine jasmines i have tasted ever i've tasted plenty (nearly 2 decades in China!). It has a subtle, insinuating sweetness, that unlike so many jasmines found in the west is not overpowering or artificial. I really enjoy it first thing in the morning, it's got to be one of the nicest ways to digest dreams and slip into the day! Thank you Canton Tea, looking forward to the Oolongs!
Fantastic Tea!!! (Posted on 01/07/2010)

The silver needle is high grade and you can tell that it was harvested at just the right time. Review by Jamie

My favorite type of tea (thus far) is white tea, more specifically, silver needle, so I was crazy excited to try this one. The only thing that made me hesitate was the fact that it was jasmine flavored. I like the smell of Jasmine but I don’t like teas that taste like perfume. other Jasmine teas made me feel like I was back in the elevator with that lady who was wearing cheap jasmine perfume (ended up having the taste from it in my mouth all day).
So I sat down and brewed this tea, anticipating that funky taste. As soon as I opened the package, I could tell that this Jasmine was different. The pearls are really pretty and the tea smells like a dream. Steeped it for five minutes, though they recommend only a few, watched the pearls come to life and unravel in my cup. The color was really light as you’d expect from a silver needle. The smell was very calming, soothing and not even slightly artificial. Yes, I was pleasantly surprised – made me feel like I was in a spa. The silver needle is high grade and you can tell that it was harvested at just the right time. The Jasmine scent was infused naturally which explains why I was spared the aftertaste. Steeped it three times and it did really well. The scent was milder by the third brew but the silver needle carried it through perfectly.

Absolutely gorgeous Review by Melissa Wrzesniewsky

These pearls are absolutely gorgeous, and are filled with the intoxicating aroma of Jasmine. The taste has a sweet finish, leaving the Jasmine flower smell in the aroma and the Jasmine sweetness in the liquor. I really enjoyed this tea, and imagine that it would be amazing iced! Amazing Taste! Review by Paul

I have tried a number of Jasmine Teas, they often taste enhanced by oils or flavours. The Canton Tea Co. tea is unrivalled in comparison, fresh, crisp and an amazing jasmine flavour that runs through but without overpowering - perfect. The best tea I have tasted. (Posted on 04/05/2010)
