Gently pour on hot (not boiling) water and the bud blossoms into a spectacular and colourful display of flowers and young tea leaves. The liquor is a sweet, light, golden infusion with the soft notes of the green tea underlying the more fragrant, honeyed taste of the flowers.
Tip: After you have drunk the tea, you can take out the bloom carefully and place it in a big glass cup with cool water to display and enjoy the stunning blossom for a few days more.
