Canton Cooked Mini Beeng Cha

Canton's own brand cooked puerh is smooth with woody notes.

Special Offer: Save 25% - 50g was £7.50, now £5.60

Good enough to carry our mark, this specially commissioned cooked mini puerh cake is a great place to start exploring puerh - but also great for people who drink a lot of puerh tea every day. Pressed from cooked tea harvested in 2007 and fermented for 48 days, the cake has already mellowed slightly with age and is smooth to the taste with all the sweet, earthy notes you would expect from a high quality cooked puerh.

Specially commissioned by Canton to be our house cooked puerh. Already mellow and smooth with a good mouthfeel.

Great Cooked Pu Erh for its price

4

/ 5

This Pu erh is very pleasant. A delightful brew, with a strong flavour although lacking the subtleties of pricier pu erh. The four stars is a combination of price and taste, or rather I'm really reviewing it on its quality for what it costs.

Great everyday tea with earthy and smoky notes

Once the cake is broken up, the tea has a decaying/wet wood aroma. The aroma of the infused tea smells of saw dust and wet wood, and the flavour of the liquor is earthy and smoky. I think this is a great everyday tea that is mellow and has a classic cooked puerh flavour.

Great simple Pu Erh tea, no frills, not terribly complex in flavours. Great starter tea to get used to the different flavours that pu erh has to offer. I did find that this tea required at least two steeps before producing a clear to near clear liquor, the tea definitely requires rinsing (as per gong fu method) before drinking.

I had tied a teabag puerh and enjoyed it ,so I ordered this cake. It is a very enjoyable and individual tea and seems to be remarkable value. I'm ordering two more.

Another great puerh from Canton! Great quality and good value; I would recommend this to people who haven't tried puerh before or to puerh lovers who want a good everyday tea that doesn't cost too much.
