Gold Tip Keemun

This Keemun has a relatively short history for a Chinese tea having originated in Keemun county in 1875. It soon became a favourite breakfast tea worldwide, winning Gold at the International Exhibition of Panama in 1915 and later coming to be called "The King of Black Teas".

The leaves are small and dark, producing a liquor that is nutty, slightly smoky, with a sweet rounded finish. Adding milk gives an exceptionally smooth infusion, but this tea is also delightfully drinkable without milk.
